Hello!
Welcome! You are viewing Hung's website.
Hi there! My name is Hung Lo ç¾…é´» (he/him), a systems neuroscience postdoc fellow in the Luke Sjulson lab at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Previously a systems neuroscience PhD fellow at the Einstein Center for Neurosciences Berlin, and Medical Neurosciences at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

I currently work on prefrontal neural and molecular dynamics in drug addiction models using in vivo imaging, modeling, and behavioral paradigms.

I previously worked in the lab of Friedrich Johenning and Dietmar Schmitz. My PhD projects are focusing on olfaction and eating behaviors by using in vivo & in vitro optic- & electrophysiological methods in the mouse model. Check out my paper on Binge Eating!

I am passionate about Research Reproducibility & Open Science, so I dedicate my free time in teaching, meta-research, and other initiatives that improve research quality.

I also advocate DEI and participated in the Dragonfly Mental Health to increase awareness of mental health in the academic world.

Before I came to Germany, I did my BSc/MSc study at National Yang-Ming University in Taiwan from 2010 to 2015, in the lab of Prof. Ming-Ji Fann (lab website). I studied mouse hair regeneration with different levels of genome instability (Thesis).

I also worked as a Research Assistant in Dr. Jun-An Chen's lab (lab website) at the Institute of Molecular Biology, Academia Sinica from 2016 to 2017. I studied the function of lncRNA in the epigenetic regulation of spinal motor neuron development.
